Haus of Greta
I recently had the pleasure of capturing memorable moments during a photoshoot at the Haus of Greta event in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Held annually and now in its third year in 2025, this heartfelt fan-based gathering is dedicated to celebrating the band Greta Van Fleet. Organised and hosted by Karen Kiszka, mother of three of the band members and her business partner Barb Crawford, Haus of Greta brings together passionate fans and community members to support a meaningful cause.
Greta Van Fleet is an acclaimed rock band known for their dynamic sound and influences rooted in classic rock, captivating audiences worldwide. The Haus of Greta event is not only a celebration of music but also a vibrant community event featuring stalls managed by fans themselves. These stalls showcase handmade art, jewellery, and other creations, all crafted by volunteers—many of whom are dedicated fans of the band. The event is driven by volunteer spirit and community enthusiasm, with local residents and fans sharing their talents throughout the day and evening.
The event features live performances from a variety of musical acts, including the special guest Voortex Jazz and Blues Band, which features Papa Kiszka (Kelly Kiszka), the father of three of the band members. During the first act, band members invite audience members to join them on stage, creating an interactive and engaging experience. Many of the performers are local artists from Frankenmuth and nearby areas, while others are fans sharing their musical talents.
All proceeds from Haus of Greta go towards supporting the Bethesda Project, a local charity dedicated to providing housing and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
It was truly inspiring to be part of an event that celebrates music, creativity, community, and generosity.
